Dear friends and fans of my Uncle Buddy Holly,
I am happy that Buddy's music is in your hearts and homes. It was an honor to get to sing and do a tour in your country in 1992. Everyone seemed to enjoy my versions of Buddy's music.
My uncle was quite an inspiration to me as he used to carry me around and sing to me when I was a little child. A lot of people didn't know that Buddy was quite talented in art work as well as his musical talents. He could do leather work, paint pictures, and weave baskets. I guess art work goes hand in hand with music.
Buddy inspired me to write and sing songs and to do the songs my way just as he was original in the songs he did. I've had a chance to sing on tours with John Mueller and The Winter Dance Party. We sang at some of the same places Buddy performed which was quite awesome. At the present, I'm singing Rock n' Roll, Blues, Gospel, and Country.
I've enclosed some photos of my art work which is Tile Mosaics of my Uncle Buddy's full bodied silhouette. The mosaic is called "Wishing" and is a limited edition. Some of the tile came from Holley Tile Company in Lubbock, Texas which was owned by my Dad, Larry Holley. Buddy used to do tile work for my Dad. Es hat mich gefreut, von Dir zu hören. 1992 hatte ich die Möglichkeit, eine Tournee durch Deutschland zu machen. Es ist ein herrliches Land. Ich schätze mich glücklich, einen Gruß an meine dortigen Freunde zu schicken. Ich mach' das gerne, und vielen Dank, daß Du mich darum gebeten hast.

Ich bin glücklich, daß Buddy's Musik in Euren Herzen zuhause ist. Es war eine Ehre für mich, anläßlich einer Tournee durch Deutschland (1992) zu singen. Jeder erfreute sich über meine Versionen von Buddy's Musik.
Mein Onkel war bereits eine Inspiration für mich, als er sich um mich kümmerte und mir vorsang, als ich ein kleines Kind war. Viele Leute wußten nicht, daß Buddy künstlerisch ebenso wie als Musiker talentiert war. Er konnte Lederarbeiten anfertigen, Bilder malen und Körbe flechten. Ich glaube, Kunst geht Hand in Hand mit Musik.
Buddy gab mir den Anstoß, Lieder zu schreiben, zu singen, und es auf meine Art und Weise zu machen, genauso wie er es in seinen Liedern tat. Ich hatte die Möglichkeit, auf Tourneen mit "John Mueller and The Winter Dance Party" zu singen. Wir sangen in einigen Orten, in denen auch Buddy bereits auftrat, was sehr ehrfurchtsvoll war. Zur Zeit singe ich Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, Gospel und Country.
Ich habe einige Fotos meiner Kunstwerke beigefügt, die aus Fliesen-Mosaik gemacht sind und die gesamte Silhouette meines Onkels Buddy darstellen. Das Mosaik ist eine limitierte Auflage und nennt sich "Wishing". Einige Fliesen kommen aus der Holley Fliesen Company in Lubbock, Texas, die meinem Vater, Larry Holley, gehörte. Buddy fertigte auch Kachelarbeiten für meinen Vater an.
